Oh why hello 2019! Anybody else feel like 2019 just appeared out of nowhere!? 2018 flew by with some major life changes for us.
We sold our house in Richfield and bought a new house further south in the Burnsville/Apple Valley area in March. We also had little Hattie (which I would argue was the best part of 2018) in early September and pretty much from that point forward everything has been a sleepless blur:)
I know this is the time of year people make resolutions for themselves but I’m more of a “running list of measurable goals” kinda gal. So to help myself stay on track and try and meet some of these goals I wanted to put them down on paper and share on the blog in the hopes that it helps me stay accountable.
Begin regularly posting 2 workouts/month
I resurrected this ‘ole blog in the hopes of focusing more on fitness and just our day to day life with 2 kids but still want to make a point to post more workouts. Planning and teaching workouts is my jam. which leads me to my next goal of 2019….
Regularly teach 4 classes/week at Life Time fitness
I’m currently on the schedule 2 classes a week plus every other Friday. So I average 2.5 classes a week. I would love to get up to 4 classes/week now that we’re getting into a pretty good routine with the girls.
Build a website for ASDM, LLC
I’ve operated as an SEO and PPC specialist for almost 3 years without a website. A little ironic if you ask me. So my plan is to build a fully optimized website for my freelance business.
Read 12 new books
Depending on if you’re a reader or not, this could be seen as an easy goal or one that might take you years. in 2018 I easily read 12 books. It was easy to do when all we had was a toddler who went to bed by 7pm and slept for 11-12 hours a night uninterrupted. Now with a newborn again I have a feeling that finding the time to read for pleasure will be few and far between. So I’m hoping to tackle a new book a month. Recommendations on books you like are welcome!
Finish 200 Hour Yoga YTT
NETA, the organization I earned my group fitness certification through, now offers a 200 hour yoga teacher training that is accredited with the Yoga Alliance. The cool thing about doing this through NETA is that I can take my sweet time doing it. For instance I did the first 2-day training a year ago and will be doing another 2 day training next month. It’s great to go at your own pace but I want to get going on it since I think it’ll be better for me to keep the things I learn from yoga teacher training front and center:)
I’d love to hear what your resolutions or goals are for 2019! Let me know!
